ThunderClan at a glance
The table below collects what official sources confirm about ThunderClan. Everything else on this page explains those facts in more depth. Items marked as not published are genuinely unknown, not hidden. We will fill them in after launch.

|---|---|
| Territory | Dense forest |
| Story campaign | Its own, in Prophecy mode |
| Protagonist | Your original, player-created cat |
| Starting stats | Affected by Clan choice; numbers not published |

ThunderClan's territory
Steam and Nintendo's Switch 2 listing both describe ThunderClan's home as dense forest. It is one of four Clan territories in the Lake Territories. The others are RiverClan's marshland, ShadowClan's pine swamps and WindClan's open moors. The forest is ThunderClan's campaign setting.
Exploration there includes scent tracking, climbing and environmental puzzles. You also hunt for prey and take on quests. Exact routes and collectible locations were not verified. Our map page lists all six confirmed locations.
ThunderClan's campaign
Each Clan has its own story in Prophecy, the story mode. ThunderClan's campaign is shaped by its own culture and conflicts. The publisher confirms this structure for all four Clans. The campaign is separate from the other three.
The official sources do not list ThunderClan's quests or story chapters. An announced preview mentioned a first ThunderClan quest, but its details were not accessible to us. We will not invent quest names to fill the gap. Verified quests will be added after launch.
Your cat is not Firestar
In the IGN interview, the developer confirms that you play an original, player-created cat. You are not taking over a famous character from the books. So do not assume your hero is Firestar or another established cat. Your cat's story is new.
The campaign is not confirmed to retell the first novel either. Book events are background, not a walkthrough for this game. We keep book lore separate from game facts on this wiki. Old forest maps from the books do not describe this game's territory.
Stats and builds
The developer says your Clan, level and training all affect your base stats. That means choosing ThunderClan does change your starting numbers. However, no ThunderClan stat sheet has been published. We cannot say whether it favors any style of play.
Without numbers, we cannot recommend a best ThunderClan build. Your choices also shape which of the 75 unlockable moves you learn. Training and leveling grow your stats over time. We will add tested builds after launch.
Combat as ThunderClan
All Clans fight with the same turn-based battle system. Battles allow up to three cats per side, and moves change your combat stance. Clan techniques, enemy weaknesses and ancestor attacks are part of the system. Predicting the enemy and positioning are central, according to the developer.
The publisher mentions Clan techniques, but ThunderClan's specific techniques were not listed. You will face rival cats and predators such as foxes, badgers and dogs. Our combat guide explains the shared mechanics. ThunderClan-specific tactics will follow after testing.
Daily life in ThunderClan
Between battles, you hunt, explore, craft and take on quests for your Clan. Completing quests earns favor with ThunderClan. You can also customize your den and build relationships within the Clan. Your journey runs from apprentice to warrior.
The developer notes that a playable Medicine Cat profession is not offered. Your path in ThunderClan is the warrior's path. Training is part of that journey and affects your stats. Our beginner guide explains these systems step by step.
Is ThunderClan the best choice?
No evidence shows ThunderClan is easier or stronger than the other Clans. No difficulty comparison or damage tests were published. Calling any Clan the best would be a guess. The same is true for all four.
Pick ThunderClan if the forest setting and its story appeal to you. You can explore the other Clans' campaigns afterward. See our best Clan page for the full explanation. Our all Clans page compares the four territories.
What we will add after launch

ThunderClan compared with the other Clans
Every Clan has its own territory and campaign, so ThunderClan's difference is mainly its forest setting and story. RiverClan lives in marshland, ShadowClan in pine swamps and WindClan on open moors. All four share the same core systems. The table below sets them side by side.
| Clan | Territory | Confirmed difference |
|---|---|---|
| ThunderClan | Dense forest | Own campaign and territory |
| RiverClan | Marshlands | Own campaign and territory |
| ShadowClan | Pine swamps | Own campaign and territory |
| WindClan | Open moors | Own campaign and territory |
Playing ThunderClan online
Your ThunderClan cat can take part in the game's asynchronous online features. Skirmish lets you battle other players without both of you being online at once. Camp visits and helping friends with crafted items or resources also work asynchronously. No live co-op is confirmed.
Whether ThunderClan has any advantage in Skirmish is unknown. Base stats depend on Clan, level and training, but the numbers were not published. We will look at online balance after launch. Our multiplayer page explains the features.
