Quests and Clan favor
Steam and Xbox both describe quests as a way to earn your Clan's favor. Favor is one of several progression systems in the game. The description treats it separately from strengthening your cat in combat. That distinction matters when you plan how to spend your time.
Exact favor amounts and what each level of favor unlocks were not published. We do not list numbers that have not been verified. We will add tested reward information after launch. Until then, think of favor as your standing within your Clan.
Branching stories and choices
The publisher describes choice-driven paths through your cat's story. The developer confirms in the IGN interview that choices affect your cat's story and the moves it learns. So quests are not only tasks to complete, but moments that shape your character. What you decide can change what comes next.
This means a quest may play out differently depending on what you decide. Guides that list one fixed outcome for every quest may not match your game. We will note choices and their outcomes when we document quests. That way you can see the consequences before you choose.
Generated quests
Official store descriptions advertise generated characters, quests and stories. Some quest content may therefore change between runs. A useful quest guide has to explain what stays the same and what varies. This is common to every Clan campaign.
This is also why a complete quest database is hard to build before launch. Named story objectives can be documented once tested. Generated quests are better described by type and pattern. We will use both approaches in our guide.
Quests in each Clan campaign
Each of the four Clans has its own story campaign in Prophecy mode. ThunderClan, RiverClan, ShadowClan and WindClan stories are shaped by their own culture and conflicts. Your quests come from the campaign you choose. Playing another Clan means a different story.
We will organize quest entries by Clan once verified. Each entry will include the exact quest name, the trigger, the objective, the location, the reward and our tested result. Nothing will be listed until it is checked in game. The list below shows the format we will use.
- Exact quest name and Clan
- How the quest starts
- Objective and location
- Reward
- Tested result and game version
Activities that quests involve
The official feature lists describe hunting, exploring, crafting and battling as part of daily Clan life. Exploration includes scent tracking, climbing and environmental puzzles. Quests draw on these activities as you serve your Clan. Expect a mix of tasks rather than only fights.
Battles are turn-based with up to three cats on each side. Opponents include rival cats and predators such as foxes, badgers and dogs. Our combat guide explains the battle system in more depth. Knowing the basics helps you finish combat quests.
| Activity | Official detail |
|---|---|
| Hunting | Hunt for prey |
| Exploration | Scent tracking, climbing, environmental puzzles |
| Crafting | Make items, including ones to help friends |
| Battles | Turn-based, up to 3 vs 3 |
Where quests take you
The game is set in the Lake Territories, with six confirmed locations. These are the four Clan territories, the Moonpool and the Island. The Moonpool and the Island are described as sacred destinations. Which quests lead where has not been published.
Our map page lists all six locations with their official descriptions. Exact quest routes and locations will be added after testing. We will not guess at where a quest takes place. Book-era maps do not apply to this game.
What we have not verified
No full list of quest names was available from reliable sources. We also found no confirmed daily quests, timers, reset schedules or patrol quotas. The mere existence of quests does not mean any of these systems exist. Be cautious with guides that claim them before launch.
XP rewards and missable quests were not verified either. An announced preview mentioned a first ThunderClan quest, but we could not access its details. We will not invent quest names or rewards to fill gaps. Verified entries will appear here after launch.
Tips before you start
Think about your choices, since the publisher says they shape your journey. Pay attention to the favor you earn with your Clan. Combine questing with training to grow from apprentice to warrior. These are the systems the official sources describe.
Check back after launch for verified quest entries. Our walkthrough page explains how we will organize full solutions. The beginner guide covers the basics you need for your first quests. Our leveling page tracks how progression works.
Quests, relationships and your den
Official descriptions also mention building relationships within your Clan. Customizing your den is another listed activity. These systems sit alongside quests as part of daily Clan life. How they connect to specific quests was not detailed.
Your den can also be visited by other players asynchronously, according to the publisher. That means time spent on your den has a social side. Whether quests unlock den items was not confirmed. We will document any links we find.
Helping friends
Steam and Xbox describe helping friends with crafted items or resources. This happens asynchronously, so your friend does not need to be online. It is listed as an online feature rather than a story quest. Crafting therefore has a use beyond your own campaign.
How many items you can send, and what friends receive, was not published. We have not tested the feature yet. It will be covered on our multiplayer page after launch. For now, treat it as a confirmed but undocumented feature.
