How long does it take to beat Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest?

There is no reliable hour count yet. Official sources do not give a main-story or completionist playtime for Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest, and the game only releases on October 23, 2026. What is confirmed is that the story has four separate Clan campaigns, plus a survival mode and an asynchronous competitive mode. Any number you see before real playthroughs are measured is a guess.

What official sources say about length

The publisher confirms four separate Clan campaigns, one each for ThunderClan, RiverClan, ShadowClan and WindClan. That tells you how much story there is in structure, not in hours. Campaign count is not a runtime. Each campaign may take a different amount of time.

The developer discusses replayability and original character stories in the IGN interview. The interview does not promise a campaign length. No store page we checked lists a playtime either. So there is no official figure to quote.

What makes up the game

The table below lists the confirmed content that a completion time would cover. It shows structure rather than hours. Each row will eventually get its own measured time. For now the hours column is honest about what is unknown.

Why four campaigns is not "four times" one

It is tempting to estimate one Clan's story and multiply by four. Current evidence does not support that. Campaigns may differ in length, and shared systems may make later runs faster. Your experience grows with each run.

The stores also advertise generated quests and stories. That means two runs of the same Clan might not take the same time. Your choices shape the journey as well. Measurements need to account for this.

Story vs other modes

Prophecy is the story mode containing the Clan campaigns. Defender is a survival challenge, and Skirmish is asynchronous competition against other players. These extra modes should not be counted in a story-completion time. They can add many hours on top.

Optional activities such as exploration, hunting, crafting and den customization can also add time. A fair estimate separates the main story from optional play. We will report them separately. That makes the numbers useful for different play styles.

How we will measure completion time

After launch, we plan to time actual playthroughs instead of copying estimates. We will separate one Clan story, all four stories, optional exploration and achievements. Each measurement will note the platform and game version. Patches can change length too.

We will also record difficulty, how idle time was handled and how many runs were measured. A single run is not enough for a reliable average. We will publish ranges only when we have enough data. The list below shows the categories we will time.

  • One Clan campaign
  • All four Clan campaigns
  • Story plus optional exploration
  • All achievements

Beware of early estimates

Some websites may publish playtime figures before launch. Our research found contradictory third-party estimates, and we did not keep them as facts. A trailer's length also tells you nothing about campaign length. Disagreeing estimates are a sign that nobody has measured yet.

No complete playthrough video was available to time. Without measured runs, any average, median or completionist figure is unsupported. We prefer to say the answer is unknown. That is more useful than a number you cannot trust.

Planning your time

If you want to see everything, plan for four separate Clan stories. Each one has its own culture, conflicts and territory. Your choices and generated content may make each run feel different. Replayability is something the developer discussed.

Starting with the Clan whose setting appeals to you most is a good approach. You can explore other Clans later. Our Clan overview can help you choose. The walkthrough page explains how the campaigns are structured.

Achievements and 100% completion

Steam lists achievement support, but we could not inspect a full list. Without it, we cannot estimate how long 100% completion takes. Missable achievements are also unknown. Completionist time depends heavily on that list.

We will cover completionist time once the achievement list is verified. Check our achievements page for the current status. This page will be updated after launch. We will date every figure we publish.

Why estimates disagree

Playtime depends on many factors that differ between players. Difficulty, how much you explore and how quickly you make choices all change the total. Generated quests can also change what each run contains. That is why one person's number may not match yours.

Reliable figures usually come from many completed runs. Before launch, nobody has that data for this game. Early numbers are therefore guesses or estimates from previews. We chose not to repeat them as facts.

Activities that add time

Beyond the story, the game offers hunting, exploration, crafting and den customization. Exploration includes scent tracking, climbing and environmental puzzles. Building relationships within your Clan is another listed activity. Players who enjoy these systems will spend longer in each campaign.

Defender and Skirmish add more time outside the story. Unlocking all 75 combat moves may also extend play. None of these have measured times yet. We will report each one separately after launch.

Frequently asked questions

How long is one Clan campaign?
No official or measured length exists yet. The four campaigns are confirmed, but not their hours. We will time them after launch.
Is the game replayable?
The developer discusses replayability in the IGN interview. There are four Clan campaigns, and the stores advertise generated quests and stories. That points to variety between runs.
Does Skirmish count toward completion?
Skirmish is an asynchronous competitive mode, separate from the story. It should not be counted in a story completion time. We will report it separately.
How long is the trailer?
A trailer's length tells you nothing about the game's length. We did not use trailers to estimate playtime. Only measured runs will be used.
Will you publish playtime after launch?
Yes, we plan to time real playthroughs after October 23, 2026. We will separate one campaign, all four campaigns and completionist play. Each figure will note the platform and game version.
Is the game short or long?
That cannot be answered reliably yet. Four campaigns plus extra modes suggest a fair amount of content. Measured times are needed before giving a number.
Does playing a second Clan take as long as the first?
Not necessarily, since you will know the systems better. Generated quests and different choices may also change the length. We will measure repeat runs separately.
